Meade Spotting Scopes

Meade Spotting Scopes have gained a reputation for being world class optics. The Meade company was founded during 1972 and entered the market in 1997 as a mail-order supplier. Their starting budget was only $2,500. They used this to produce spotting scopes for amateur astronomers.

By 1997, they started to produce a vast selection of spotting scope parts and accessories. Because of Meade’s wide range of accessories, it became possible for them to produce their own spotting scopes. For the first time in American history, a high quality yet affordable scope became available for aspiring astronomers.

Meade underwent backlog for 6 whole months due to the increased demand. A time frame of 6-8 weeks is usually allotted for deliveries but because of the high demand and low supply, they were not able to deliver the spotting scopes in time. Customers received memos about this inconvenience and were offered a full refund once they changed their minds and couldn’t wait any longer.

Some people accepted the offer while the others waited for a little while to unite with their spotting scopes. They were able to deliver all the back-ordered scopes eventually.

Meade spotting scopes were then released in September of 1980. They have continued to provide the people with the latest spotting scopes and accessories ever since. It was in the year 1986 that Meade Instruments was proclaimed as the leading manufacturer of quality spotting scopes.

One piece of advice is to use hard carrying cases to protect your best optics, like a Meade ETX 125 scope if you have one. This is made with sturdy and durable materials that can resist strong impacts and scrapes. You can safely place your spotting scope inside its soft and fitted foam to prevent any bumps.
